Replace serial cables with ethernet network
The particular Haxxio UDP Serial Slot Redirector is the lacking link between devices that will speak UDP on your own network and they are thus "connected" to your PC, through an Ethernet port (specifically UDP over IP) plus Windows applications around the PERSONAL COMPUTER that can only speak with a serial port. Many applications for the Redirector are based one associated with
(a) Replacing an easy serial connection, either RS232 or RS485, having a system connection, thus simplifying the particular connection and removing the particular cable length barrier, to the position of crossing the world.
(b) Requiring to connect RS232 over a cellular connection between either Personal computers, or PCs and airport terminal servers - Wireless ethernet, is much cheaper plus more available than cellular RS232. Examples
(c) Allowing a group of Personal computers and/or other devices in order to all communicate with one another.
